A while back I posted about using Outlook’s Junk Mail’s Blocked Senders listing to blocked known SPAMmers.
One thing I did not cover is how the dialog offers us the ability to Export and Import Blocked Sender lists. As such, for what it is worth, I thought I’d simply share my list in case it can be used as a base for others.
So basically, this is a list of domains that I perceive as sending me undesirable e-mails, malicious content, unsolicited, phishing, clickbait, … and that I have chosen to block:

You can simply copy/paste this into any text editor and save it as a txt file and import it into Outlook.
In my case, instead of just blocking just a specific e-mail address, when I receive what I deem to be an unsolicited e-mail, I block the whole domain from which it originated. This is why above I only include domain level entries (@domain.TLD). This is a double edged sword and you need to be extra careful when doing this not to say block @live.com, @gmail.com, … As such, if you do choose to use my list as a starting point (or to add to your list), be sure to review it carefully to ensure that it doesn’t include any domains you deem acceptable.
In a future post, I will show you how you can configure your e-mail host to block these so they don’t even make it to Outlook in the first place.
Unsubscribing
Only use unsubscribe links from reputable companies that you actually signed up to receive content from. I definitely don’t recommend using the unsubscribe links in these SPAM e-mails as I personally believe it only serves to confirm that the e-mail is valid and they’ll end up sending you even more e-mails.
Reporting the SPAM
Should you wish to take things a step further, you could always report the spam the the hosting company. Use a tool such as: https://www.whois.com/whois/ to look up the domain (somewhere.com) and use the listed Abuse e-mail address to notify the host or registrar that the domain is being used for SPAMming purposes.
Will that do anything? That’s very debatable and I leave that up to you to decide.
