Another One Bites The Dust

Randomly decided to look at the Feedback Portal today, and something just felt… off. After a bit of investigating, I finally put my finger on it.

Another one’s gone. Vanished without a trace, no notice, no status, no archive. Just that eerie emptiness where an idea used to be.

The above is a screenshot dating back to 2024 I believe. I wish I could have captured the comments in that post. At the time of originally posting the suggestion on the Portal the roadmap had been untouched for months and months and months. (sound familiar!) At the time of the screenshot it was the 4th-5th most voted suggestion on the Access Portal, so end-users agreed with the suggestion!

At this rate, I’m starting to wonder if my account’s on some kind of “auto-expire” list.

Whatever the reason, it seems the disappearing act continues. So here’s to another lost idea, quietly erased, and to the faint suspicion that maybe, just maybe, someone’s been reading my posts a little too closely.

Here are more articles showing this continued pattern of Microsoft deleting suggestions and why I affirm that using the Feedback Portal is a TOTAL WASTE of everyone’s time!

The truly sad part about all of this is that:

  1. If I took the time to inventory all my suggestions that I’ve written about on this site, I’d probably find plenty more that have quietly gone the way of the Dodo.
  2. If the Dev Team actually listened to the suggestions, the product would be in FAR better shape!

I’m beginning to feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog day! As an MVP who was explicit told to post in the Feedback Portal I’m appalled and Microsoft should be ashamed!

Never forget, Microsoft is listening deleting.
