Just a quick heads up everyone that:
You should also note this will also impact MS365 users as it is being reported that it will begin to rollout for them as well as of April 2025.

I’d like to thank ferreirah for bringing this to everyone’s attention via a post on UtterAccess.
Why Is This A Concern?
It may or may not be a concern to you depending on if you’ve used any ActiveX controls within your solution(s) (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word, …).
If you’re using things like:
- Any of the Microsoft Forms controls
- Microsoft ListView
- Microsoft Treeview
- Microsoft ProgressBar
- Windows Media Player
- FlexGrid Control
- Or an ActiveX controls purchased from a 3rd party
- Barcode
- QR code
- Image Controls
- etc.
Then, this change would disable them.
It’s not the end of the world, so don’t panic, but you need to be aware of this upcoming change so you can then know that you have to go and change the security setting to re-enable them for your solutions to continue to work.
