I reported it for several years now that UserVoice was a complete waste of time!!!
Let me be more specific, the general idea was a great one, but rather it was the implementation, administration and follow through with the core principle of such a site that made the it a complete waste.

Microsoft’s UserVoice Announcement
Now, Microsoft has come out and confirmed it by officially announcing that:
We will be moving away from UserVoice feedback sites throughout the 2021 calendar year on a product-by-product basis. We will leverage 1st party solutions.
Here are a few articles on the subject:
- Microsoft confirms that it’s moving on from UserVoice for Office 365 and more
- Microsoft is officially shutting down its UserVoice feedback pages
- Microsoft Walks Away from UserVoice
Only Questions Remain
Now the real question is what will replace it, if anything?
Have they learnt anything from UserVoice?
What will this “1st party solutions” look like? Will it make things better or worse?! Or are they simply referring to their existing tools like: Windows Feedback Hub & Microsoft Forums?
