Yep, another update, so another bug has surfaced, this time with sending e-mails with database objects in which Access reports
Microsoft Access can’t open the mail session.
and this appears to occur in 1807, although the official Microsoft page states 1806 and later, running on Windows 7 PCs, although I have seen reports of people claiming to have the issue on Win10.
Fixed 2018-08-21
The Access Dev. Team has posted on their site that they believe the issue has been rectified in the latest update 1807 (Build 10325.20118). So update your installations and hope for the best!
Workarounds
Presently, there appears to be 2 potential workarounds:
- Revert your installation to build 1805 or earlier.
- Switch you e-mail routine to use Outlook Automation instead of using built-in functions.
Per the usual, The Access Dev. Team are aware of this issue, but when a fix will be made available is anyone’s guess!
