Once again, in the category of ‘you can’t make this crap up’, I was trying to connect to a new client’s SharePoint site via Access to review their data and determine how I could clean things up and get them setup properly in Azure…
Well, using the External Data -> More -> SharePoint List and entering the SharePoint URL, I was prompted for my credentials after when I go to authenticate, this is what I get!
Well gee thanks Microsoft. I’m sure glad you were there to help me understand what the issue was! More useless a message never existed.
There have got to be some Microsoft developers laughing their asses off when they write this type of error messages knowing that some idiot, ie ME, will get it and have no clue what to do! How does this get through code review and testing?! It truly says a lot about Microsoft on several levels.
It’s funny because I can log in via a web browser without issue, but Access nope.
Off digging I go.
