CrowdStrike Crashing Windows PCs

Yesterday I posted a short article related to the mess the world experienced last week with all the Windows PC issues/BSOD!

That said, I’ve seen people giving erroneous information and advice on the issue and thought I’d quickly give the proper information on the subject!

The most important advice I can give is don’t take advice in Access forums related to such an issue and be sure the person you do take advice from is an IT Admin who has actually addressed the issue. They may be a good Access developer, but that doesn’t mean they know anything about IT operations and specifically this CrowdStrike bug!

Furthermore, I’d recommend turning towards the source of the problem for instructions on remedying the issue, so CrowdStrike in this instance.  Makes sense no! So, below are 2 CrowdStrike sources of information on the matter:

If you want even more information on this whole mess from the real cause, to fixing it, then I’d refer you to:

Basically, don’t listen to just anyone, please!  Rolling back OS, for instance, has nothing to do with this current issue and is a waste of time.  Goto the source, refer to what CrowdStrike itself recommends or IT Admins experienced in the matter tell you to do.
