A short while ago, about a month ago, I made a posting about one of my Feedback Portal suggestions being deleted without a trace:

I’ve really been trying hard lately! Truly have. I been trying to be that positive guy, try to keep pushing forward with the Feedback Portal, ignoring all the issues, hoping that perhaps some of it would filter through to the Dev Team. Recommending we all continue to contribute that it would show engagement and force Microsoft’s to reciprocate.
BUT, it’s happened again! Another suggestion has vanished!
In my article regarding not using table field captions, I included a link to my Feedback Portal suggestion on the subject to hopefully get the issue resolved once and for all!
Sadly, I randomly checked this morning, and the suggestion is no more! No clue when it was removed, but it is gone.
I don’t know why it was removed?
I don’t know when it was removed as I never received any notification.
Just tiresome. You try to engage, contribute, even promote the site, help improve the product and this is the treatment Microsoft gives its users and even MVPs!
How many other suggestions have been deleted? I have no clue. And you can bet this has happened to other users. I’ve never kept track of most of my suggestions as I never thought they would spontaneously be deleted in this repetitive manner.
And sure, I can recreate the various suggestions as become aware of them, but all the support/votes that had been received are gone and do you really think people are interested in returning to vote again only to see that item disappear down the road. No wonder user engagement on the site is so poor!
So, what exactly is the point of the site?
Oh ya, sure, Microsoft really wants your feedback! SURE!
You couldn’t treat users much worse. Simply shameful.
I’ve reported this internally months, and months ago. I’ve posted it here (multiple times now). What exactly does it take for Microsoft to wake-up and cleanup their act!?
Heck, they’d be better off with an Excel Workbook than that crappy site! There, I said it!!!
Who’s overseeing the site?
All that SPAM on the site, but they delete valid suggestions?!
Remember, we’re not talking about some mom and pop shop. This is the world’s biggest IT company, a trillion dollar business and they can’t even get a simple website to work properly! I won’t even get into the issue of site backups.
Come on Microsoft, you can do better. You sure can’t do worse!
Want Even More On The Feedback Portal
If you’re a glutton for punishment and want even more bad news on the Microsoft Feedback Portal, check out:

Sadly, even after years of reporting all these issues, I don’t think a single thing has actually improved or been addressed!
