Access AEK25 (2023)

For my German speaking friends, take note that AEK is once again almost upon us! This year, Karl Donaubauer is holding the conference October 14th and 15th, 2023.

Furthermore, he is returning to the conference’s roots and only hosting it as a live event only (so no remote MS Teams access this year), in Nuremberg.

The agenda currently includes:

  • News from the Microsoft Access Team (Dale Rector, Linda Lu Cannon, Shane Groff, Courtney & Owen Tushar Jain)
  • Access update (Karl Donaubauer)
  • unDate/upDate – tools for mucking up and analyzing data (Lorenz Hölscher)
  • SQL Server locking with Access applications (Bernd Jungbluth)
  • ChatGPT and integration in Access (Björn Fox)
  • On-Prem -> Cloud move in big corporations (Peter Döring)
  • All about the new web browser control (Martin Unterschemmann)
  • Tool presentations
    • OpenAI MS Access Add-In (Alexander Denz)
    • SetLAAToMSAccess – LAA update solution (Stephan Kraft)
  • more to come

You can get all the details by reviewing:

and the full agenda, registration and all the details are available from there as well.

If you can, help Karl out by spreading the word via your social media platforms and online forums.

Like I provided last year, for my curious Anglophone friends (myself included), below is the Google Translated version of the site:

Wishing all those involved a great conference!

    Thanks for the mention, Daniel!
I will complete the agenda with 3 more topics in the next few days.
As you can imagine, with all the tired (~only remote at home~), retired and dead Access developers, it’s never been easy and it’s not getting any easier to fill an on-site conference. We currently have 65 registrations and still have a few weeks to go. The goal this time would be ~100, so we’ll see.
BTW, your works on the Edge Control are an important source of information for the corresponding AEK presentation. So, go ahead with it. 😉

If you decide to come over, I’m sure we can organize something. Me, Peter, Phil as simultaneous translators etc. 😉 Also, you can practice beforehand: on https://www.donkarl.com/AEK/downloads.htm there are >270 free downloads of conference presentations on almost every conceivable Access topic (also lots for SQL Server and .NET). Slide decks, PDF scripts, sample files etc. And the best: Everything is in German! 🙂
