I’ve been exploring Access/DataVerse recently for a client, it hasn’t been a fun process in the least, but I’ve already covered some of that in my prior postings:
Today, I was trying to Access the tables through the Power Apps site and received the following error:
The environment ‘xxxxxxxxx’ could not be found in the tenant ‘xxxxxxxxx’.Power Apps
I knew I had used this URL previously, as I had saved it in a reference document to avoid needing to navigate the hell on earth that is Microsoft’s/Power Apps Admin Center.
I fired up one of my VMs in which I had previously done DataVerse work in, and low and behold, the URL worked just fine. Yet, directly on my PC, the exact same link, using the exact same account gave this nice error.
The Solution
I thought I’d share what worked for me to get around this issue in the hopes of helping someone else out and save them the time and frustrations of figuring out what was wrong.
I won’t bore you with various things I tried, but the final solution that made things work again was to clear my browser’s history. After that, I was able to access the URL just fine. This isn’t the first time I experience issues with Microsoft login with the sites. They obviously have some issue/bug with their cookie management… and the only remedy is to clear everything and start fresh.
